Creative Clay’s 5th Annual Folkfest St. Pete street folk art and music festival will be held on Central Avenue, between 11th and 13th Streets, Oct. 1 and 2. Creative Clay Cultural Arts Center has been serving people with physical, mental and/or developmental disabilities in the Tampa Bay area for over 16 years. Folkfest St. Pete was created in 2007 to celebrate art and draw as many people as possible to its door, to see first-hand the creativity, passion and artistic expression that takes place there. Proceeds from the festival help Creative Clay make the arts more accessible to populations that are underserved. About Folkfest St. Pete

Folk art vendors will include well-known artist Jack Bever- land, Morris Johnson, Katherine Michael, and award- winning Visionary Artist Missionary Mary Proctor, whose artwork is currently on exhibit at the St. Peters- burg Museum of Fine Arts until September 4. In 2010, nearly 30,000 participants enjoyed Folkfest St. Pete. This year, the festival will feature more than 50 folk artists from across the U.S., and more than a dozen musical performances, including Martin Sexton, There will also be an array of unique food vendors, a beer garden, VIP area, a family area with children’s activities and Creative Clay member artists creating new works throughout the weekend. Accessible parking is provided directly behind Cre- ative Clay at 11th St. N. and 1st Ave. S. Accessible port-a-lets and hand washing stations are available as well as stage seating upon request.
